🛵 General E-Bike Questions

An e-bike (electric bicycle) is a bicycle equipped with an electric motor to assist with pedalling. It makes cycling easier, especially up hills, against wind, or over long distances.

Yes. All of our road-legal e-bikes are pedal-assist (Pedelecs), meaning the motor only activates when you pedal — no throttle required.

Our road e-bikes are limited to 25km/h in accordance with Australian road rules. Off-road models may exceed this speed but are not permitted on public roads.

  • City Bikes / Commuter e-bikes are designed for urban transport — lightweight, efficient, and great for everyday use.
  • Cargo e-bikes can carry children, goods, or gear and often come with larger racks or box compartments.
  • Off-road e-bikes are built with rugged tyres, suspension, and powerful motors for trail riding and adventure.

🇦🇺 Australian Legal & Compliance

Yes. All of our commuter and city e-bikes comply with Australian e-bike laws (EN15194 standard), including the 250W motor limit and 25km/h assistance cap.

No. In Australia, road-legal e-bikes (with 250W max power and pedal assist only) do not require a licence, registration, or insurance.

Yes — our e-bikes are designed for both on-road and shared path use, unless signed otherwise. Off-road models are for private land or trail-specific use only.

⚙️ Specs, Performance & Tech

Typical range is 40–100km, depending on terrain, rider weight, assist level, and battery size. Higher-capacity models can go further.

Charging usually takes 4–6 hours from empty using the supplied charger and standard Australian power outlet.

Yes — our e-bikes are weather resistant, but not waterproof. They’re fine for typical riding in rain or wet roads, but avoid submerging or hosing directly into electrical components.

Most models weigh between 20–30kg, depending on battery size, motor, and frame type. Cargo bikes can be heavier due to reinforced frames.

Most batteries last 3–5 years or 500–1,000 full charge cycles. You can extend battery life with good charging habits and proper storage.

🔋 Battery, Motor & Maintenance

We use high-efficiency brushless hub motors and mid-drive motors depending on the model. All are designed for reliable, low-maintenance use.

Yes. We offer replacement batteries, chargers, tyres, brake pads, and other key components. Reach out to our support team for spare parts.

Yes. Like any bicycle, regular servicing is important. We recommend a tune-up every 6–12 months, or more often with heavy use.

Most reputable bike shops can handle basic servicing. For electrical or diagnostic issues, we recommend contacting us or an e-bike specialist.

We offer a 14-day return policy for unused bikes in original packaging. Please see our Returns page for full terms and conditions.

Delivery typically takes 3–10 business days, depending on your location. Regional and remote areas may take slightly longer.

🧒 Cargo & Family Bikes

Yes — our cargo models are built for safe child transport, with optional child seats, harnesses, or protective canopies.

Most cargo bikes can carry up to 150–200kg total, including rider. Check the specs for each model.

Not at all! Our cargo e-bikes are stabilised, geared for torque, and the motor assist makes hauling loads surprisingly easy.

Absolutely—when ridden responsibly. Our bikes come with solid safety features like brake cut-off systems, lights, and indicators. Keep up with regular maintenance and you’ll stay safe on every ride.

Yep! We have smaller frame options for younger riders. At this stage, due to the Australian governement review of E-Scooter specifications, we have paused supply of E-Scooters but will let you know when that it sorted.
